Ren Mars (he/they) is a photographer, filmmaker, and activist based in London.
Their photographic identity was born out of a desire to document, preserve, and illuminate the vibrancy of alternative beauty, fashion, and night culture from their own place as a black, trans, neurodiverse person coming of age within the 21st-century queer community; a community populated almost entirely by other “outsiders”. Their work is to be heavily shaped by the aesthetics of queerness, typically centering trans bodies, and has been featured on Vogue Online and Dazed Digital. Currently freelancing.
